WELCOME ADDRESS BY THE PRESIDENTH.E. OROCK EBOT NTUI

The challenges of Underdevelopment are not very different from those of sustainability of development. They are both very daunting and varied. These challenges are further complicated by the quality of the human factor at both ends of these challenges. The present ills that begets our society are strongly linked to the quality of our fundamental unit of this society the Individual. The genesis of this problematic is the lack or absence thereof of genuine quality knowledge. Knowledge liberates ultimately, and therefore quality training that leads to quality knowledge should be the basis on which to found a Total Quality Knowledge Society based on a Total Quality Education training model developed at the college and now being propagated throughout the world. This model is essentially about the transformation of a freshman or woman into a Total Quality Graduate primary and step towards building this Total Quality Society (TQS). A society where individualism is promoted in synergy with collectivism that culminates with societal optimization.  TQS is an ideal knowledge stronghold society where the  greater part of the  citizenry are knowledgeable individuals who strive to highest heights of their abilities equipped with ultimate capabilities. These individuals are expected to be engineers apt with the potentials to engineer all situations in all walks of life where their competences are appropriate. Such individuals be able to utilize the timing and balance hour glass to develop a culture of balanced scorecard that is the pivot of developing a balanced (Optimal or best) society immune to the extremes that have brought the world to unreasonableness.

We invite students from all over the world to take advantage of this novelty training model experimented in the University College for the past 10 years. We enjoin you to be a partner in this new deal for a Total Quality Knowledge Society. You are welcome.

A WORD ON TRAINING IDEOLOGY BY REGISTRAREngr. ABUNAW ARREY PAUL

Human (Homo sapiens) species is at the very top of the food, energy, intelligence, and technological chain. In the society today were we live or aspire to live, people are at both ends and at all levels and stages of any system. The ability of the human specie to continually, dominate and challenge itself to provide solutions to their existence and comfort has pushed the human endeavour to endless pursuits for more expectation, performance and desirability. The increasing sophistication of human needs and wants the challenge of fast depleting scarce resources, environmental pollution, global warming and climate change. Society has simply raised the bar to high for natural human ability and capability. Humans are the originator of the entire quests for greatness, success, glory, wealth, fame, salvation, and livelihood.  The contribution of the human factor to societal develop, change and advancement is putting so much pressure and responsibility to the quality of human resource potentials possible.  The bewilderment is that, human being have been so badly consumed by their affluence and disorientation that the volition and capacity to develop quality human resource from the worlds most popular formal training techniques -  Formal education has taking so many hits and left grossly inadequate to meet the challenges it faces. The incredible thing about humans is that they are naturally endowed with the ability to ace and meet all types of challenges except for the natural disasters and our very nature and subjectivity.

Total Quality Education (TQE® ) or its full name Total Quality Technical Production-Oriented Professional Education (TQTPPE) ® our innovation to current formal educational training models, which we believe will go a along way respond to the inadequacies of  present human resource development training.  What we present here,  is along the lines that will achieve appropriate timing and balance in human resource development for today and the future. For ten years that we have experimented with this model, it has proven it has the greatest transformation of humans in the fields of Technocracy, Skills development, creativity, ingenuity,  hardwork , enterprise, Productivity, knowledge engineering,  systems applicability, technology savvy  and high professionalism. TQE is a total quality training model that greatly enhances human ability and capability. It is a highly transformative, training model that consists of the following components: Total Learning Concept, Student-Centered Learning, Academic Excellence, Creativity, Ingenuity, Enterprise, Knowledge Engineering, Skills and Know How, Technology Savvy. It is based on the most performance-oriented ideology composing: Systems Technology, Entrepreneurship, Contemporaneousness, Robustness, Academic Excellence, Design Abilities, Analytical Abilities, Complexity and Abstraction, Professionalism, Problem Solving, Total Quality, Total Improvement, Performance–Orientation, Production Orientation. TQE®  is a precursor to a larger theory that extents to the level of society. Total Quality Society (TQS) ® is a natural extension to the TQE®.

The transformation index of TQE®  is above 4.5 on average, approximately  450%.  In its training model that incorporates the entry quality of freshmen and women with the training processes and eventual training outcome into a total integrated dynamic system that evolves with the perceived needs of the students, their sponsors,   the employer and entrepreneurial needs of  business environment. This model is credited to have the capability to operate in all context and successfully train managers and engineers for both developed, developing and  traditional (specialized, specializing and non specialized)  economies.

Society is facing a double battle with two deadly adversaries the unquenchable quest for more improvement from the individual, organizational and systems performance and the dwindling standards in training in our schools and universities. The shear size and ramification of this problem calls for an educational systems engineering. This training model is our reaction and contribution to a robust durable, maintainable and comprehensive solution. Total Quality Education (TQE®) and its derivative Total Quality Technical Production-Oriented Professional Education ® is highly transformative, training model that consist of the following components: Total Learning Concept, Student-Centered Learning, Academic Excellence, Creativity, Ingenuity, Enterprise, Knowledge Engineering, Skills and Know How, Technology Savvy. It is based on the most performance-oriented ideology composing: Systems Technology, Entrepreneurship, Contemporaneousness, Robustness, Academic Excellence, Design Abilities, Analytical Abilities, Complexity and Abstraction, Professionalism, Problem Solving, Total Quality, Total Improvement, Performance–Orientation, Production Orientation. This training model results to Total Quality Product (Graduate) that will easily and satisfactorily meet the expectation of any organization and society in these contemporary times. These outcomes include amongst others: Systematic in Approach, Profound Knowledge, Crafty of creativity, Eagerness to produce, Penchant for productivity, Zeal for Discovery, Efficient and Perceptive, Visionary and Inventive ,Strong ethics and professionalism, Great sense of responsibility, Audacity to go the extra mile, Sincerity of purpose, Ability to evolve, Capability to resolve, Saliency of views, Correctness and quality in decision making, Completeness in Training, Soundness in Reasoning, Robust in skills and know how, Balanced in Actions, Brilliant in Physiotechniques, Extremely performant,Balance in Judgment, Anxiety to innovate, Propensity to proliferate, Quest for greatness, Tenacity to enterprise, Joy to Endeavour, Pleasure in hardwork, Resilient in pursuits, Patience and Team play, Sensitivity and sensibility.
